October is Horror Month!

I love a good horror story, and October is the perfect month for them, with longer evenings, atmospheric thunderstorms, and the frightfest that is Halloween. I've already entered the Frightful Fall Read-a-thon at Castle Macabre, which runs for a week from 3rd October, but I noticed they also have a horror reading challenge which runs for the whole month. Ths set me thinking -why not re-jig things a little, enter the challenge, and see if we can't make the whole of October a celebration of all things ghoulish.

So, I hereby enter the Frightful Fall Reviewer's Challenge and pledge to read (almost) nothing but horror, gothic, supernatural, mysterious and unsettling tales for the month of October. I've got all sorts of great books planned, so keep an eye out over the coming weeks if you're a fan of spooks and monsters, because there's sure to be a few around.

The challenge is co-hosted by Castle Macabre, Fiction State of Mind and The Haunting of Orchid Forsythia.
